THE VICTORY OF FEAR AND TRADITIONALISTS

It's over and this time for ever ... it's just over. Never again Whitehall will commit the error to allow a referendum on independence for Scotland.
At 22 pm (23 in Italy) last night with the closing of the polling stations in all the land which the Romans called Caledonia, is dead forever the chance to see another Celtic nation free, free not only in the sense of independent but free to decide for themselves, free to govern themselves, free to be what Scotland really is.
Brits have studied it really well ... you cannot admit that they had realized that uniting and dominating  free Celtic nations over the centuries would have had subsequently serious problems in making them remain part of the UK, so they implanted settlers (yes this is also colonization, to the extent that such movements are called Plantantions) loyal to the crown in Scotland and in the six counties of Ulster occupied by the United Kingdom.
For this reason, the Protestants of Ulster remain loyal to the crown, descendants of Ulster-Scots families planted in the Emerald Isle, whose name is Eireann: in 1921 when the UK gave the Home Rule to Ireland which became the Irish Free State/ Saorstait na Eireann, the United Kingdom retained the six richest counties of Ulster (the current Northern Ireland) using as justification  the presence there of Protestants who were implanted; at the time they were a few units more than local Catholic population.
In Northern Ireland there is the Orange Order, an order full of bigotry and sectarianism, that every J12th of July marks the anniversary of the battle of the Boyne where the Protestant King William of Orange defeated the deposed King James II, who took refuge to the Irish Catholics.
This Order is present also in Scotland, particularly in Glasgow where it is concentrated in the areas adjacent to Rangers Football Club, a bigot football club (for years only Protestants players have played for them ed.)  extremely sectarian; just think that they are singing songs against the Fenians (derogatory term for the Irish) as the Famine Song ("The famine is over, why do not you go home?).
They follow the English national team and feel fully British rather than Scottish, as opposed to the Irish community that Celtic feel Irish and therefore have always pushed their country to follow the route taken by the land from which their ancestors, or also their parents in the recent past, emigrated during the Great Famine.
In Glasgow the YES vote has prevailed, and this was without a shadow doubt the biggest surprise of this historic referendum.
Scotland has always lived recalling the old glories of the past, Scotland has always lived in the past: the untamed Caledonians who forced the emperor Hadrian to build a rampart to contain, William "Braveheart" Wallace who led the rebellion against King Edward, the mysterious northern lands of the Highlands result of the legends of the ancient Celtic tribes ...
In 1707 the Act of Union with England and the birth of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and since then wicked choices from London took to the detriment of Scotland and led the country to be the poorest in the United Kingdom.
In 1999, the Devolution which grants the Scottish Assembly the power to take decisions in the areas of health, environment, education, and justice; everything else remains and is decided in London.
Due to the London Highlands remained in a stalemate and backwardness compared to the industrial / ports areas of the Lowlands: agriculture and fishing are still the most common mansions, while tourism is the only source of bussiness ... and just think the North Sea in those parts near  Scotland is rich in high-quality materials.
There was only one chance for independence, follow the road of Ireland, recover slowly and try to take advantage of the resources thanks to themselves ... the NO vote won and it will never be a second chance.
Key areas of Scottish patriotism have turned their backs on their credentials and they delivered Alba finally in the hands of the United Kingdom forever.
With Cameron, or Miliband, it seems unlikely that it seems improbable that they will revolutionize and devolve more local powers to Scotland: what about Wales, Northern Ireland and the islands so?
Scots have been afraid to change ... now it will not be the opportunity to change anymore.
They rejected the role of pioneers in separatism in Europe and the opportunity to be a model for countries such as Catalonia and the Basque Country ...

They missed the rendezvous with history. They preferred the stagnation, refusing progress.

This year the team from St. George Stadium has changed his policy: looking at the model of Athletic Bilbao, President Spaggiari has decided that in his team can play only "italic" players: players born in the geographic region of Italy.
